Texas law requires teens to complete a 32 hour Driver Education course, 7 hours of driving & 7 hours of observation. An additional 30 hours of driving must be logged before you can get your license. Elite Driving School-Waller Location offers the teen course online and behind the wheel training with one of our licensed instructors.
This course uses the block method, which means you must complete the entire 32 hour course online before applying for your learner's permit. The official written permit test is included at the end of the course for free so you don't have to retake it at the DPS!
Behind the wheel training can begin once the student completes the entire 32 online hours and has received a driving permit. After receiving a permit, the student or parent can make driving appointments online. There are a total of 7 sessions of in car training, 2 hours each session. Each session consist of one hour of drive time and one hour of observation.
State Minimum behind the wheel requirement is 7 hours of drive time. We offer different online packages with additional driving hours for more behind the wheel training to ensure safety on the road.
